About Me

Experience Summary

"I approached David after self-study for the LSAT left me hitting a ceiling with my score that I was pretty desperate to break. David was really good at identifying exactly where I was getting stuck and noticing patterns in the questions that I got wrong that I would never have noticed myself (hence the ceiling) and giving me very focused solutions. I also go the sense when he was teaching me that he was really tailoring his approach to teaching me how take the LSAT both to what skills I needed and changes I needed to make on the questions in order to maximize my score and moreover to who I was as an individual. I particularly appreciated the fact that he cared enough to ask about what outside influences could affect my test performance. In my case: insomnia. And actually offered advice! (That proved helpful enough that I actually entered the test well rested for once!) I think the fact that David was personable, patient and encouraging made me a lot more receptive to what he was teaching me than I otherwise would have been. Thanks to David, I ended up scoring a 169 on the LSAT and I will be attending Harvard Law School in September 2018. –L.H.M" My knowledge of the test, my experience teaching it, and my empathy for my students. Teaching Style

Empathetic yet super disciplined. I make students unafraid of complex methods by breaking them down to their basics and showing how each part any complex idea is in fact a simple thing. I teach mastery of method through practice, I use PowerScore materials, and I understand that all of my highest scorers have at some point in time cried (or come close to it) because they were working so hard. I have the greatest respect for my students and inspire them to wow=rk their hsrdest.

My Hobbies

Rock climbing, chess... and Netflix.

Other Comments

I'm pretty relaxed. You should probably contact me.

Subject Commentary

LSAT This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Expert
I took the LSAT in 2009 and scored in the 99th percentile, Since then I have tutored over 6,00 individuals at various TestPrep companies. At this point, I know everything about the test, I'm quickly spot where my students need to to learn, and quickly and effectively show them the concepts that they are missing. My students appreciate it as illustrated below. "I approached David after self-study for the LSAT left me hitting a ceiling with my score that I was pretty desperate to break.
