About Me

Experience Summary

I am an Electrical engineer currently working for IBM as a logic design engineer. I have been tutoring students for past 10 years. Ever since I was a kid, I would be lured by the sight of a telephone or a remote control. I would spend my time building blocks and solving puzzles. These innate qualities in me have blossomed into the strong desire to become an engineer. With mathematics and physics being my strong subjects in school, I have always nursed an ambition to be an engineer. With my entrance into high school, my love and enthusiasm for the subjects rose to such an extent that I restricted myself not only to reading books but also delved into the world of circuitry construction. Recent creations which lie within the realm of my ‘trusty screwdriver’ and soldering iron include a listening bug and a metal detector. Other topics that interest me are electromagnetism, digital circuits, probability, calculus and nuclear physics. Charity and concern for humanity is a world issue today. A large number of people are dying due to poverty while a major fraction of them face hardships due to disabilities. The world today requires every person to contribute for the development of a more affable environment. Sir Winston Churchill, former Prime Minister of Britain once said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Truly, the act of generosity translates into joy and peace of being at one with God. In my case, I had the good fortune of having teachers from my early school days who helped me strengthen my motive to learn by engaging my mind directly in the educative process. They provided a purpose or rationale to direct my energies towards learning activities to engage in thinking and questioning, and cultivated the inquisitiveness in me. This helped me grapple with the topics’ content and concepts at a more substantive and intellectually challenging level. It also helped me better understand on how to relate lessons to our lives and provided a roadmap to know where I was leading and what to expect along the way. This eventually embarked the passion of providing others with the knowledge i have gained in these years. One of the most important and positive lessons of the educative process I have imbibed is to recognize opportunities and perform even in the midst of adversity. Even when the going may not be good at times, I have not let things impact my life in a negative way. One of my teachers once told me, "You can always pick out something positive even in the worst of times." With intense competition in several fields in my country where the principle of ‘survival of the fittest’ is most pertinent, this has made me more mature in my thinking. It has made me more focused and has motivated me to such a degree whereupon I can take pride in saying that I have grown tenacious when it comes to solving any difficult problem. These qualities being proponents of sincerity and hard work have changed my attitude towards studying from apathy to alacrity.
