• About 50 hours of shadowing with Dr. Andrew Baker, DVM, MRCVS at Virginia Beach Veterinary Hospital
• Aided with cat and dog kennel maintenance and shadowed a small animal veterinarian learning the daily activities of a veterinarian and a co owner of a veterinarian hospital.

• Studied the energetics of great egrets as a field biologist
• Aided with the retrieval and recording of research including attaching tags and transmitters to egrets, drawing blood, completing anatomical measurements, locating tagged egrets, and observing tagged egrets through surveillance.
