Experience Summary
Three years experience as the leading classroom teacher, mixed classroom of students with varying needs and requirements. Taught most subjects, concentrated on middle school/ high school math and science. I also have experience working with young adults on the autism spectrum, focused on academic and life skills, basic computer applications and finding employment in their communities.
Teaching Style
After an informal and or formal assessment with the student a learning preference may be identified. Depending on the goals and objectives of the student a schedule can then be implemented to support the student's growth in a particular subject matter and hopefully support larger overall learning objectives.
My Hobbies
I have enjoyed a life of sports, science, music, the outdoors and other activities.
Other Comments
I hope to meet the student's strengths, needs, and wants so that he or she can develop a strong sense of the subject matter and of their own learning style. At the same time empowering any student or individual with a sense of confidence to face the challenges in their own lifetime is always part of the learning process too.
