Experience Summary
My name is Christel and I have been tutoring for over ten years. While I love tutoring, my passion is empowerment. It is so fulfilling to assist students in reaching their fullest potential. I am an Intervention Specialist with specialties in the area of cultivating positing interpersonal relationships. My motto is "Be the change you want to see". No child is too small to change the world and my goal is to make sure that each person I have the privilege of working with, realizes it. I have the knowledge and ability to tutor a wide variety of subjects including: Psychology, Sociology, Genetics, Reading, Literature, Special Needs and Public Speaking.
I also work with at risk youth. I truly believe that there is no youth that is too difficult to reach. I have previous experience as a court appointed community health advocate. I thoroughly enjoy being a life coach and am passionate about improving the quality of every life I encounter. I apply all of these skills and knowledge to my tutoring. I firmly believe "whole-child approach" where tutoring is not limited to educational success, but encompasses all areas of growth and development. I would be honored to work with you or your student and provide you with whatever assistance I can offer.
I have a Bachelors of Science Degree with a major in Leadership and Management and a minor in Psychology.
I have years of tutoring experience in Literature and Reading on the college level. I specialize in Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary.
