Experience Summary
I have overall 10 years of teaching experience. I came to United States to do my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. As a graduate student, I worked as a TA for the Department of Chemistry. I was trained on an intense 4 week program focused on undergraduate teaching methods offered by the Teaching College of U of Nebraska. I taught various undergraduate courses (both laboratory and recitation) at the Department of Chemistry, UNL. I have been living in Seattle for the past four years, and I have tutored students from high school, U Prep, and College in Science and Math. I teach all subdivisions of Chemistry (College and high-school) level, mathematics and physics (highschool). I also tutor for GRE Chemistry and Biochemistry subject exams.
Teaching Style
I am a passionate and patient teacher. It gives me a great satisfaction to make students understand the concepts and my real reward is through seeing the improvement in their performance. My style is to first analyze the student's needs. I then openly discuss my ideas with the parents and the student. Once they concur, I propose a class schedule and meet them either at their home or a public place.
My Hobbies
I love nature. I feel that Washington is blessed. I love being in the mountains.
I am proud member of North Seattle Lapidary Club. We love rocks. We hunt rocks, awe at the art of nature, cut and polish them for making art work and jewellery. I love history. I am collecting WWII movies.
