Experience Summary
I have been tutoring for over five years in math, reading, spelling, and science. Every single student that I have helped has increased their grade in the respective subject from a failing grade to an A without fail. I have tutored one-on-one, and I have tutored in groups as small as two and as large as twenty, so I am comfortable with any setting. As math has always come very easy to me, I decided to help other students in my classes who were struggling. From there, I began tutoring students in grades and courses below me, and then branched out into different subjects in which I am also comfortable.
Teaching Style
Because I have learned the material more recently than some older tutors, I believe that I am able to better help the students. I know the methods that are currently being taught in classrooms, and I know ways to manipulate them to make sense for every student. I have been able to teach the same exact skill multiple ways so that every different mind can understand it, no matter how they learn or what makes sense to them.
My Hobbies
In addition to academics, I am a dancer in the BFA Commercial Dance program at Pace University. I have been dancing since age three, and I do jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, musical theater, and many other styles. I also enjoy spending time outside, discovering new restaurants, and traveling.
