Experience Summary
Born and raised in Germany with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from a German University, needed to make a fresh start in the US and decided on Accounting. Worked for 8 years in the Healthcare Industry, before I moved to Charleston to work as Accounting Supervisor at the Art Institute where I worked for 6 years. My daughter took dual credit hours in her senior year and because of her transportation issues I needed flexible hours, hence I started my own company.
Teaching Style
Conversational. It is easier to learn if one can see how the subject relates to ones personal life.
Other Comments
I mentored on average 10-15 students at the Art Institute, with emphasis on fiscal responsibility. It surprised me that the majority of the students did not know how student loans worked or how to balance a check book or create a reasonable budget.
