Experience Summary
I have over 15 years of full time teaching experience in a combination of grades, K, 2, 3, and 4. I moved from teaching within a classroom to accepting a reading specialist position in a high poverty district. I taught reading interventions for three years before being asked to step in to an instructional coach roll for teachers. This is my current full-time position and I provide feedback and support to elementary teachers in the area of practice, data analysis, Common core methodology, rigor and appropriate curriculum development as well as selection and delivery of instruction.
Teaching Style
Explicit instruction with modeling guided practice and release in the area of teaching reading skills is of value to me.
My Hobbies
pen and ink drawing, watercolor, volleyball, horseback riding, spending time with family outdoors and on our small farm.
