Other Comments
In 1993 I followed a dream and entered the theatre world as a professional Stage Manager. This endeavor was a passion and all consuming, therefore time for interpreting became nil. Obviously, as with any language, disuse leads to losing skills and fluency. Therefore, I applied to return to school for an intense college program in Sign Language Interpreting. I was accepted as one of only 25 students into the program and successfully completed the 2-year course and my internship this past year. This was an important and necessary step in updating my skills and knowledge of Deaf Culture.
