Experience Summary
I have been a private math tutor since 2008. I have been a tutor for WinShape Homes since 2008 as well. I taught math at a Unity Christain School from 2097-2008. I taught pre-algebra, algebra, algebra II, geometry, and Precalculus. I taught remedial math for 2 semesters at Shorter University, and I taught in the adult education program teaching GED math at GA Northwestern Technical College.
Teaching Style
I have a gift for working with students who struggle. I know where they are going to trip up and I am prepared to answer the questions that they do not even know they will have! I know at least 3 or 4 different ways to explain different concepts so if your student does not understand one way, I have another way. I like to use manipulatives, worksheets, and other supplements when time permits. Once I learn what type of learner your student is I will gear the sessionsnd my teaching approach to the way that will help him best.
