Experience Summary
I have experience in all areas of nursing, as well as test taking skills. I am an experienced clinical professor in psychiatry and Leadership. I have 30 yrs. of patient care experience and 10 as an administrator in nursing. I am knowledgeable in all areas of nursing and in test taking skills. I will teach you strategies and rationales to help you be successful in all nursing and pre-nursing tests for RN's, LPNS, LVN s. I will tutor you in any Nursing subjects or pre-nursing subjects. If you are committed to learning, you will be successful and learn not just subject matter, but how to think critically to get to the BEST and most correct answers on any of the tests. All students learn at various levels, pace and with different methods of teaching. I adapt to individual the student's learning needs, so everyone is able to understand the material that is being taught. I am flexible re: times and places to tutor, I will come to you within up to 15 miles or you are welcome to come to me.
I am an idealist, which served me well the past 40 years. I continue to be energetic and focused on quality patient care. I enjoy my students and will go above and beyond to help the Nurses of the future reach their personal and professional goals!
Teaching Style
relaxed, supportive, empathic, organized, directive and student centered. I provide materials and am hands on tutor. I give work for you to do at home, that will help you to prepare for the next tutoring session.
My Hobbies
reading, cooking, gardening, dogs, volunteering for church, swimming and working out
