Experience Summary
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. Here is a little background on myself. I currently work in the world of data analysis and finance. Most of my day-to-day work involves using math and excel to build economic model. It involves using math to simulate events in real world scenarios. This has shown me the practical uses of math, making it relevant and therefore interesting to learn.
Teaching Style
While doing my undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering, I worked in the University Math Lab tutoring junior students in algebra, calculus and trigonometry. Family and friends often compliment me on the ways in which I am able to take complex ideas and boil them down to easy to understand/practical concepts. My method of teaching involves the following:
1. Using visual models to help understand numerical concepts
2. Immediately applying the concept to practical problems
3. Verifying understanding of newly learned concepts by the Socratic method
