Experience Summary
I've taught PowerPoint to Senior Citizens, Middle and Elementary School students. I have created PowerPoint presentations for Non Profit, For Profit Organizations and classroom settings.
I am very strong in the use of PowerPoint because I have also worked with Prezi, Google Docs, Slideshare, Adobe Suite (including Adobe PDF). Having worked with these other programs I know what makes PowerPoint strong as well as its' weakness. My strength in creating PowerPoint Presentation also comes from background in Media Studies. Both as a student and a lecture at California State University Northridge I learned and taught how to construct media messages that get a viewers attention and then motivate them to take action.
Teaching Style
I am a facilitator who is always learning, always anxious to learn more and share what I have learned. The proverb, "Each one teach one, lifting as we rise" best sums up my belief that in this digitally networked and face-to-face networked world we learn from and teach each other. We no longer live in a world where knowledge is limited enough to master, our world today offers open-end possibilities and opportunities "to know." I say let's enjoy this new process together.
