Experience Summary
I am about to complete my first year at IU School of Dentistry. I completed my B.S. in Biology at IPFW with a 4.0 GPA and love learning! Science is my specialty but I enjoy other subjects as well. I have experience so far tutoring college-level genetics, both high school and college-level statistics, assisting a student getting her GED online, as well as teaching organic and general chemistry to a student getting ready to take the DAT. I would love to work with any age, but high school and college level is where my expertise lies.
Teaching Style
I am an upbeat and positive person and am willing to adapt to students' needs. I'm willing to work through homework with students, create study plans, review notes or use whatever other methods the student finds helpful.
My Hobbies
I love cooking, reading, wake-boarding, and watching sports.
Other Comments
Also, I have 6 years of experience working with children with autism.
Entrance Exams |
This is one of my top subjects!
Proficiency: Experienced
|
I secretly love standardized tests. I have taken the DAT (Dental Admissions Test) as well as the NBDE part 1 and done very well. I have experience tutoring several students for the DAT. I would love to help more students with the DAT, NBDE1, SAT, ACT or any other entrance exams in my skill set. Studying for a different entrance exam? Just ask me what I can do! |
Spanish |
Proficiency: Experienced
|
I'm not currently fluent, but I have lots of experience with Spanish in both classrooms and in cultural settings. I would love to help with a 1st or 2nd year level class. |
Statistics |
This is one of my top subjects!
Proficiency: Experienced
|
After taking statistics myself, I have had the opportunity to help several students through both college and high school level statistics throughout the past few years. Statistics doesn't have to be hard. Let me give you the 1-on-1 teaching you need to do well in the class! |
