Experience Summary
Hello,
My name is Frankie and I am a sign language tutor/ interpreting student. I started learning sign language five years ago and fell completely in love with the language and the deaf community. My passion is interpreting but I really enjoy teaching American Sign Language as well. My long-term goal is to be an interpreter on Broadway so I can share my love of music and theater with the deaf community.
Right now I live in Georgia and attend Valdosta State University. I am a senior American Sign Language/ English interpreting major with a Deaf Studies minor. I will graduate in May 2015 with my BSED.
My family lives in Palm Coast Florida and I stay with them during winter break. I would love to tutor anyone in American Sign Language while I am in town. I am willing to tutor one-on-one or groups. I have been tutoring ASL for a few years now and I really enjoy watching students improve. Since I am on break my schedule is very open and flexible. I look forward to working with you soon!
Teaching Style
Since sign language is a visual language it is important that students learn by doing and not just watching.
