Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate of the University of
California at Davis. I graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences
with an emphasis in marine biology. I am familiar with a myriad of lab
techniques and protocol, and proficient in all levels of computer
programs (word,excel,outlook,powerpoint,etc.). Prior to moving to San
Diego, I interned for the Bodega Bay Marine Lab, under the supervision
of the Aquatic Resource Group (ARG) for two year. My daily duties
consisted of, but were not limited to: field research and collection,
lab research, lab maintenance, construction of novel aquaculture
paradigms, input for design of new research techniques, and overseer
of organism welfare (feeding, tank cleaning, transportation).
Though my specialties are in marine biology, I am grounded in all
fields of sciences due to my course work at the university level. As
mentioned above, I am well versed in an array of laboratory
techniques: PCR, gram staining, immunnofluorescent microscopy, Western
blotting, among others. I am successfully able to carry out a project
from concept to completion with minimal instruction, and enjoy working
with others, and gathering their insight as much as I do working
independently. I obtain a keen ability to prioritize and am adept at
multitasking.I adapt quickly in tentative environments, and welcome
the pressure of meeting deadlines.
