Experience Summary
I have recently completed my Masters degree from Duke University this past May and am currently working as a dolphin biologist. While my focus is on marine mammals, my masters program trained me in how to become an environmental manager. With this, I am extremely adept at public speaking, professional writing, and communication skills. I am very knowledgeable in a variety of subjects spanning across economics, marine ecology, geospatial analysis, and marine policy. I am very adept in composing resumes and have numerous experiences preparing for and being accepted for positions I have applied and interviewed for.
Teaching Style
I truly believe in experiential learning as much as possible! However, sometimes this isn't always applicable. In others cases, I am a very visual person and like to teach with as many graphics and visuals as I can. I believe in trying to help students understand the "bigger picture" of a concept and then learning the details, rather than through memorization. I am a fun, bubbly person and like to make learning and studying as enjoyable as possible!
My Hobbies
I love to be active and outdoors. I enjoy paddleboarding (where I can see marine life in it's natural environment), volleyball, and swimming. I love to cook, especially grill, and always looking for a new adventure!
