Experience Summary
I am a veteran in the field of English having graduated in May of 2000 with a BA in English with a Minor Concentration in Criminal Justice. Having written hundreds of papers I am eager to share my knowledge and writing tools with others. I am passionate about others (especially our youth) being able to effectively communicate their ideas, thoughts, and emotions.
In addition to my knowledge in English I am also a seasoned veteran when it comes to the sport of Basketball. Having played at the Division I level at Tulane University I have a wealth of knowledge in the sport. I coached on the collegiate level and am currently coaching Varsity Boys at The St. David's School in Raleigh. I have also coached the RDU Sting, a semi-pro Women's Team where I was also in charge of player development. I provide personal training for college and professional athletes and have started my own training company called H.T.C. Next Level Training.
Teaching Style
Having mentored kids most of my adult life and worked in the Mental Health Field with kids with behavioral issues my teaching styles vary dependent upon each individual child. I have learned that methods that may work for some may not work for others. I have the patience and experience to continue to work with the child until we find the best suitable method for him/her.
My Hobbies
I love working with and mentoring children. I enjoy seeing their expressions when they learn something new or excel in something. I love the sport of Basketball whether it is teaching it, watching, or playing.
