Experience Summary
I have both an undergraduate and masters degree in special education. I have three years of experience as a teacher in the school setting working with children with special needs, as well as seven years experience working with children on academic, social, and functional skills in the home and community setting.
Teaching Style
I believe that learning should be a fun process. I care about my students and their interests, and whenever possible incorporate their interests into lessons. By providing the appropriate accommodations for students (such as breaking tasks into smaller components), I effectively am able to help students find success in their academic work. I know from experience that when children are met with success, they become encouraged and excited to continue learning.
