Experience Summary
I worked 8 years as a Chemical Engineer, and 4 years as a Control Systems Engineer on missile defense.
I stayed home for 12 years to raise my children, then returned and got my masters to teach Chemistry.
I taught high school Chemistry for 3 years
I then stayed home for 4 years to home school my youngest son for his last 4 years of High school. He has Asperger's Syndrome and home school was the best choice for him. He made a 30 on the ACT and won a full scholarship to college.
I have tutored numerous students over the years in math, algebra, and chemistry. I currently tutor chemistry part time online with tutor.com.
Teaching Style
I pride myself in being able to adjust my teaching methods to maximize learning for each student according to their needs. I have tutored several students with learning disabilities - ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Dyslexia.
I work with students to develop study and organizational skills that will make learning more efficient and effective.
