Experience Summary
I am a senior in High School. I am a cross age tutor for Freshmen and Sophomores mainly tutoring in algebra 1 - Geometry. I also attend the Center for Advanced Research and Technology. I babysit on Tuesday and Wednesday at Northpark Community Church and help kids with their homework. Mainly with reading and penmanship. I used to be really bad in almost every subject availiable. And my parents hired a tutor for me. Once she taught me shortcuts and explained the process to me, I started to understand. I love working with kids, when they have a problem I have them write it on a white board or on a separate sheet of paper. Then from there I have them ask questions about the problem. Once they write out the questions I help answer them and they eventually understand. Once the problem is solved I have them write down their steps and do similar problems until they do not need to check the steps on the first problem. I also check the notes they have taken in class portraying the problem. So I know that they are paying attention in class and have some type of basic understanding of the lesson before starting.
This is one of my top subjects!
