Subject Commentary

English ESOL This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Expert
In 2012 I received my TEFL certification from the International TEFL Academy. Since that time I have been teaching English as a second language in Costa Rica with two language institutes. I have experience with all levels of English proficiency. My Bachelor's degree is in Speech-Language Pathology, making my specialty teaching English pronunciation and conversation. I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, so I cater my classes to each student's learning style and interests.
Spanish This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Experienced
I began studying Spanish in middle school and have never stopped. Spanish was my second major in university. My love for the language has brought me to live in Costa Rica, where I have been living since 2012. I am currently pursuing my Masters in translation at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, a requirement for which is fluency in both English and Spanish. Being a nonnative speaker, I can offer you my insight into how I learned and mastered the Spanish language, especially the tricky grammar.
