Experience Summary
I started my career by working as a diplomat, and then spent the bulk of it working for international organizations in Guatemala. I moved to Utah a couple of years ago, and am excited to share my love for languages by helping others. My native languages are Romanian and Russian, which I speak perfectly. I also speak Spanish at native-level because I received my bachelor degree in it, lived in Spain for a year, and then in Guatemala for 13 years. I have tutored students in the past in both Russian and Spanish, and have also done translation/interpreting work in those languages.
Teaching Style
I believe in teaching the student according to the level where he/she is, while simultaneously helping them get to the level where they need to be. I use a lot of activities, picture cards/illustrations (for beginner levels), and examples in my teaching. I try to make my classes fun.
