Experience Summary
Worked as a Teacher's assistant with Learning disabled student's in a classroom setting. Tutored students in reading who were learning disabled. My goal was to teach my student's to read well enough to fill in job applications. Those on a third grade reading level, reached a fifth grade reading level or better. When I tutored them. Three years drama, I have done community theater.
Teaching Style
I like to work with students individually, but sometimes a group is fine. I have the student read the assigned reading, Ask student to sound out words they are having trouble with. If they cannot read selection and it is short I will have them read it again. Longer selections are broken into parts. Drama is more flexible, tapping into emotions, and developing character styles
My Hobbies
Reading, Writing. Singing, acting, baking, learning new subjects. Attending concerts and theatre.
Other Comments
I enjoy working with diverse groups. Children especially they bring such energy to life experiences.
