Experience Summary
I am currently a high school Spanish teacher and have taught for three years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Education from Old Dominion University and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Spanish Teaching through Rutgers University - New Brunswick. I have done after-school tutoring and remediation twice a week for 3 years.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient and outgoing teacher who enjoys challenging students to be successful in learning Spanish. I use technology whenever possible, and use a variety of teaching methods and ways to help students understand and be able to use and produce Spanish with increasing proficiency and fluency. I enjoy engaging and motivating students and it gives me great joy when they see how much they have progressed in such a short amount of time.
My Hobbies
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys and doing outdoor activities such as: biking, rollerblading, or simply just going to the beach or pool. I also enjoy singing, dancing, and listening to Latin music.
Other Comments
I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language, so I try to vary the instruction and tailor it according to the students' needs and preferred learning styles.
