As a highly motivated and experienced tutor with a strong background in providing professional tutoring services to students with diverse backgrounds, I have the ability to exceed your expectations. I am confident that my strong desire to help students achieve their goals will go a long way in providing high-quality tutoring services to you.
I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry, a Master’s degree in Adolescent Education, and a Medical degree. I am NYS certified to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Health Education. I specialize in tutoring Math, Science, English and Spanish as well as helping students prepare for the ACT, SAT, MCAT, DAT and NYS Regent Exams. I have taught at the middle school, high school, and college level and have developed excellent knowledge of providing customized tutoring services to students. My ability to work with students, teachers and parents in order to find out their weakest points, and the aspiration to work towards providing strengthening services has been commended many times. Moreover, my understanding of how to design and conduct workshops and develop interactive materials for students would enable me to produce excellent results. Additionally, I possess a positive attitude and a passion to assist struggling learners.
One of my goals for each session is to keep the student challenged but not overwhelmed. I assign challenging homework after every lesson, and provide periodic assessments and progress reports.
I hold myself to a high standard. For that reason, I often ask for feedback, and I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied with my tutoring.
I try to be flexible with my time. While I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, I offer make up classes.
