Experience Summary
I have studied classical art from the age of six to present. My work is varied, and although I have roots in classical techniques, I also relate to and create abstract styles. My work is represented in galleries, selected in juried shows and I have twice been accepted to exhibit and sell my work at the Bath House Cultural Center in Dallas and The TVAA Gallery in the downtown Dallas Arts District. I also have four years experience writing for Examiner.com including Performing Arts Reviews, Educational Articles, Sports, Human Rights, Animal Rights, Environmental and Fine Art articles. I'm knowledgable with professional Photoshop including retouch, color balance, etc. In-Design, Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator and Word software.
Teaching Style
I'm comfortable with all ages and levels of students. My teaching style is relaxed, open, encouraging and I allow students to experiment. I have a strong background in techniques, so I also want to build a foundation and skill level without taking away the creativity and spontaneity. I also have knowledge of art history and I'm open to many different ways of appreciating art. I have a background in marketing and writing for advertising and also journalism.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include: travel, reading, photography, movies, writing, experimenting with art, jewelry making, cooking, music, dining out, walking & hiking, sports, dancing, animals, volunteering and charity work.
