Mother, entrepreneur, energetic lover of learning, people, and business. I hold a Masters in Education (Curriculum & Instruction) and 2 Teaching Certifications (Secondary English & Gifted Education). My BA is in English with a minor in Minority Studies. I have experience working with all ages and my background is varied and extensive; it includes owning a music and arts venue, teaching preschool, student teaching in middle and high school, and being an employment recruiter.
Teaching Style
I believe in Holistic teaching and differentiation. I enjoy large classes, small groups, and one-on-one tutoring. With literature I use thematic instruction and combine both inductive and deductive reasoning to engage students. I use a variety of resources and genres and am fluent in all areas of English and Language Arts.
