Experience Summary
I am currently working towards attaining my Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Arabic. I have formally studied Arabic for the past 4 years in an extremely intense setting, through Tufts and Columbia University. I have lived in Beirut, Lebanon for parts of my life, including study abroad. I have participated in various ESL Programs for native Spanish speakers. Additionally, I tutored Arabic students through my university, Tufts. Therefore, I have experience in language tutoring. I am confident that my methods work from such experience.
Teaching Style
As a tutor, I use Alif Baa, Al-Kitaab 1 and 2 for beginners to intermediates. These books offer a strong methodology for learning Arabic as a foreigner. They are the standard textbook series used in most programs, including mine. That way, students can enter new programs and continue their education seamlessly due to this widely circulated curriculum. For advanced students, I use a variety of articles and videos, tailored to the students' interests. These tools will take students with a solid foundation and bring them to fluency.
My Hobbies
I love to travel. I try to do so as often as possible. I have visited over 30 states in the United States as well as many countries abroad. In addition, I have been singing since I was four years old. I love the performing arts and seeing Broadway shows.
