Experience Summary
I've worked extensively while attending college tutoring both as a volunteer in public schools and as a personal tutor. While tutoring in a public school setting I worked both with individual students and small groups in math and science classrooms. I am a registered and licensed Life Science Educator through the university I attended and additionally I am a registered and licensed Environmental Educator through an independent program with the state of Ohio.
My hours are flexible as is the subject I can assist with. I am fully trained in educating students between grades 7-12 in both Life Science (Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Zoology) and Earth Science (Environmental, Geological). Once I am given the scope of content that needs assistance I am fully willing to help with test prep, general study and knowledge retention, or developing unique ways to test and enhance your child's knowledge in addition to what is provided by their school teacher.
Teaching Style
Interactive and personal. As I work with my students I try and best understand what ways they enjoy working and learning so that I can make those a priority when developing lessons and activities.
