Experience Summary
I have successfully completed a Beacon tutor course in preparation for individual and group tutor sessions. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. I have effectively tutored/mentored a number of high school students in general education coursework, organizational skills, and in preparation for exit examinations. I have conducted community based math group sessions for junior high and high school students. Finally, I have supported 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students in math and reading comprehension. I personally create and provide worksheets and additional materials to support students' mastery of coursework. Students under my mentorship have achieved at least a 40% increase on grade reports and above average scores on examinations.
My Hobbies
I engage in fitness activities at least 4 to 5 times a week. In my free time I absolutely love to shoot, develop, and print film photography in black and white. I have a fantastic time hanging out with my nieces!
