Experience Summary
My experience entails a well rounded experience of teaching students from preK to adult. My most important position was acting as Director of Education for Sylvan Learning, where I basically ran the learning center. I supervised teachers and all student programs, conferred with parents from the beginning to the end of their experience with Sylvan, and did so much more to develop a positive experience with all clients and teachers involved. I have taught Elementary Level, High School Level, and substitute taught in Middle School Level. I worked for a company called SmartApple, where we graded statewide standardized testing. My specialty was in marking the writing portion. I have so much more experience, and I love helping students to succeed at any age. Teaching Style
Students best learn by doing, by experiencing, and from a variety of experiences that incorporate their five senses. Students learn with different paces and styles. There is no one way for a student to become well-rounded, it is just a matter of providing experiences where the student can learn from the environment. It is not a matter of one student being better than the other, rather it is a matter of students learning in different ways.
My Hobbies
Exercising, Reading, Bible Study, Babysitting, Dog sitting, Watching documentaries about a variety of subjects, and enjoying hanging out with friends and family

My perspective of being a proper teacher is that she should be patient, prepared, can accurately assess student progress from a number of different avenues, and will do anything it takes to ensure a student is learning what is being presented to them. I take the role of teaching very seriously, in that it is my life's work not just a job. I currently tutor, and I have tutored for free, I have tutored for food, I have tutored for little money, and I will go out of my way to drive far or tutor online, as long as it works out best for the student. In other words, I am not just in it for the money, I truly care about student performance and just love the happiness they exude when they know they have grown so much.

| Teacher writing is my favorite thing to teach, as it is a chance to see a student's creativity and uniqueness in their work. As a certified Teacher of English (NJ), I am prepared to teach writing composition at any age. I have worked with beginning readers who are just learning to make letters into words and words into sentence. On the other side of the spectrum, I have taught High School English, and thus am familiar with working with the upper levels of writing. I currently am working with an SAT student who needs help with the writing prompt. I am EXTREMELY detailed when checking a student's essay, and have this notion that a writing piece could only get better and better. Please consider this experience when thinking of how your student or yourself would like to fair in writing. |

| Creative Writing is my passion. I love to teach Creative Writing, because just as in composition, you learn about the student's style and imagination. I am EXTREMELY detailed when it comes to a student's piece of writing. I teach English under the notion that writing could always get better. I am certified in NJ as "Teacher of English", and can work with student from Emergent Writing to Collegiate Writing. |
