Experience Summary
My experience dates back to when I was in high school in the early 80's tutoring students and family members. I've also taught classes on Management of Aggressive Behavior / Appled Non-Violence to mental health professionals throughout the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding communities. I also worked as teacher assistant in the mental health setting working with special needs students. I've worked as a Literacy Tutor at CSN in which I developed and implemented lesson plans for a class of eleven students at the middle school . I have my Teaching credentials through NV Dept. of Education as Certified Substitute Teacher ( K- 12 ). I currently substitute/guest teach within the CCSD.
Teaching Style
I'm a follower of traditional teaching methods. I believe in the unique triangular team-centered approach involving myself, students and parents. Creating Independent Learners by setting an atmosphere that is nurturing and promotes critical thinking skills by asking questions thus creating Independent learners.
My Hobbies
Enjoy taking classes of various interest. Love playing organized softball, shooting pool, throwing darts, karaoke and dancing
