Experience Summary
Hello. I majored in Biology in college with a minor in Chemistry. I graduated with honors and was a tutor throughout my college career in Biology, Genetics, Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, and Microbiology. I went on to receive a Masters in Biomedical Science from UMDNJ where I also worked in the Radiation Research Laboratory exploring the Bystander effect of cells exposed to radiation therapy. I went on to explore veterinary medicine working in the Emergency Room of a 24 hour veterinary specialty hospital.
Teaching Style
I believe that breaking down complex processes is key to understanding any aspect of Science. Pathways and processes become easier to grasp when broken down to smaller components. Repetition is key and study tools are essential. Catering to a particular student's learning style is important as we all learn at different paces and in different ways.
My Hobbies
I am heavily involved in Dog rescue and work with several rescues. I am the Director of Fundraising and Grants for a reputable 501c3. I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, taking them on hikes and runs. I enjoy bike riding and kayaking, and can spend hours on the beach!
Other Comments
Everyone learns in different ways. As a tutor, it is my job to pinpoint your learning techniques and help you understand materials so that they stay with you for more than just a test. There is no shame in asking for help. It will make you a stronger, well-rounded, educated individual!
