Experience Summary
I have tutored Middle School students in all aspects of Language Arts. I have tutored high school students in all aspects of English Composition. I have tutored College students in English 101, English 102 and Psychology research. Both MLA and APA formats are a strong tutoring component which is utilized in all writing tutoring.
Teaching Style
I enjoy walking alongside students with patience and encouragement. I look at the the why behind the writing obstacle, and assist the student to achieve their personal goals. What other people view as a daunting writing task, I see as fun. We can achieve your writing needs together.
My Hobbies
I love to spend time at the beach. I also love hiking and siting outside listening to the wind blow through the windchime. I have two great teen kids whose lives are full of activities. My daughter plays volleyball, and we enjoy going to her games. My son is a college student pursuing a technical lighting degree. I am in the process of the licensing process to become a licensed therapist.

| I have a B.A. in English Writing, with background in Composition writing. Finding the theme for the paper is a focus, as well as finding the creative spin on any topic. I have tutored 5-College level in composition writing. |

| As a part of a creative writing team in undergraduate school, I helped to brainstorm ways students can find the creative element for any paper. Creativity is a passion, and helping students explore topics creatively is fun and enjoyable. |

| I have a Master's in Professional Counseling, and I am proficient in APA research writing. Theory, and the various theoretical approaches, is clearly defined in my tutoring concepts. I also tutor on groups and the diversity that group dynamics brings. I am strong in the 8 content areas that are required to pass the National Counselor Exam. These include: Human Growth and Development; Groups; Theory; Social and Cultural concerns; Ethics; Statistics; Research; Counseling methods. |

| I have extensive experience in both MLA, and APA format in writing. I have completed a 24 page Journal article on the topic of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have helped tutor students in high school and college in both formats, and helped them with research and composition writing.
