Experience Summary
I am a professional educator who has had the great fortune to hold a variety of exciting positions in the education sector: middle and high school teacher in public and private setting; education policy researcher; school administrator; homeschool instructor and coordinator; university instructor in human and organizational development and leadership; chief of staff for literacy education non-profit; and community college instructor in english (currently). My favorite job of all is working with students to strengthen their ability to read, write and think for critical and creative purposes. I am addicted to watching people grow as readers, writers and thinkers, and I like to have a front row seat to the action! I currently teach English at Montgomery College in Rockville and absolutely love it. I have lived in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and now Maryland and worked with students from all over the world. I have traveled to Jordan and Nigeria for business, and am a published writer. I have a deep well of experience on which to draw in helping students with writing across the curriculum, especially in the social sciences.
