About Me

Experience Summary

I have worked as a teacher for over 18 years. I chaired the science department at Fatima High School in Warren Rhode Island until it closed in 2012. During that time, I taught Honors Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Forensic Science, Middle School Physical and Life Science. I began a peer tutoring program at the school in 1997. In addition, I wrote the curriculum in conjunction with the State Core Science Standards. I also worked for one year at Bishop Keough High School as a science teacher. During that time I also updated the Science Curriculum.

Teaching Style

When I tutor, I ask the student how they understand the question or the problem he or she is having difficulty with. That gives me insight into how he/she perceives the problem. From there, I work with the student to help him/her understand the problem and develop an organized strategy to solve it.
