Experience Summary
While I was going to college, I was employed by the University of Nebraska as a tutor for students in calculus and calculus based physics. I learned to teach students who learn by different methods and make the subjects relatable and understandable. I have a high degree of education as well as experience using the math and physics I learned in my job as a mechanical engineer.
Teaching Style
I use strategic questions to help guide students to the right answer without giving the answer directly to them. This allows the student to develop their own sense of logic when approaching problems so that when test time comes, they will be able to ask themselves questions similar to what I ask during tutoring sessions and help figure out the answer step by step. My style of tutoring will help students develop their logic and problem solving skills, so that even if a new type of problem is presented, they can use the methods they have learned to break the problem into easier portions and figure out how to solve it.
