Experience Summary
I have my teaching degree in English and History from Saginaw Valley State University and have done my student teaching at Skeels Christian Schools where my class sizes ranged from thirteen to six students. I am used to a more one-on-one teaching experience and have taught every grade in middle and high school.
My Hobbies
As an English teacher, I do love to read and write in my spare time. Some of my favorite books include C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and just about anything by Oscar Wilde. I thoroughly enjoy to travel as well and like to see historical sites when travelling. I have been fortunate enough to see the Great Wall and Forbidden City in China, the Pantheon, Colosseum, old Roman Forum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica in Italy, old WWII plane crashes in Papua New Guinea, the battlegrounds at Gettysburg, PA, and am going to see the ruins of Chichen Itza and Tulum in Mexico August 2013. Being able to see these amazing places certainly helps history come alive.
