Controllership/CFO responsibilities including managing the daily operations of the accounting, administrative, and personnel departments. Reporting directly to ownership on all financial matters, budgets, sales, production and personnel levels. Direct and supervise in a Hands-on fashion the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports in financial and managerial (job costing) accounting. Monthly and quarterly reporting, financial, cost, sales and variance analysis, reporting to the president. Supervise multiple departments including HR, Administrative and purchasing/production. Develop extensive spreadsheet analysis forms in managerial accounting format. Communicate to all levels of management budget plans including objectives, strategies, analysis, action plans. Compare performance to plans and standards, analyze, report and interpret the information to all levels of management for utilization in decision making.
Teaching Style
Slow and deliberate. I keep to the basic concepts with repetition. I believe accounting is a wonderful profession and at its core is very simple. My focus is to keep it that way.
