Experience Summary
I'm a recent alumnus of the University of Florida and have not taught before. But I have plenty of experience as a student to understand how best to approach teaching painting. I have also had leadership roles on campus as a student that required for me to teach my successors how to take on my position after I graduated. As part of my undergraduate career we were also taught how to be critical of artwork which I think would assist in helping giving students the necessary feedback to excel if painting is where their passion lies.
Teaching Style
I am a very energetic teacher and like to get my students excited about what we are about to do. I like to tell them the days objectives and work with them from there. I plan eventually to incorporate other art forms for example poetry, or music to evoke emotional responses to paint. But before I delve into any of that I would be very thorough about the fundamentals of painting. Helping them to understand the differences and similarities between painting and drawing and how they both require the ability of seeing and perceiving.
My Hobbies
I'm a Poet, Florist, and an occasional singer.
