Experience Summary
I have been in the child care field for over 25 years. I have 4 children of my own. I am currently attending HCC in pursuit of my bachelors degree in elementary education. I have been the director of a local child care center and am currently the VPK teacher. I am responsible for the education of these 20 children to ensure that they are ready to enter Kindergarten. I teach phonics, letter recognition, simple math, and introduce the children to science. These children will leave my room knowing how to write their names, recognize the alphabet, and being able to count to at least 31. Most can count to 100. My one passion is to watch my students learn and grow. I would love to help your child learn to read our grow in their understanding of the words that they are beginning to grasp. I believe the first step to a great school career is success in reading.
