Experience Summary
The summary of my experience has a lot to do with the concept of writing, both creatively and contextually. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing in 2013, and I've also had experience working with RuffaloCody, which is a company that partners with non-profit organization; it is designed help these organizations meet their fundraising and enrollment needs. In addition with working with RuffaloCody, I've also had time to work with a team of highly intelligent students in an editing group for Sphere Magazine, a literary magazine that showcases creative works (poetry, fiction/nonfiction, art, photography, design, etc.) that is primarily created for undergraduates, and by undergraduates.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is a bit unorthodox. It's easy to lecture through to the class, but it doesn't really engage the student to want to learn. When I was in college, a lot of my professors had styles that were much more intimate and personal with the students. I ask a lot of questions (open discussions) for students who I believe to be engaged with the classroom. In other words, I let the student speak their mind on the material, and with the help of my educational insight, their ability to process it and follow through on it--that's what I hope to achieve in terms of my teaching style.
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading (short stories, fiction, Kurt Vonnegut, post-modern works, etc.) whenever I feel the need to be inspired when I'm writing my own works. I do have my own personal collection of short stories/poems that I'm currently working on to fit into my portfolio. I enjoy traveling, listening to old 60s Jazz music (and sometimes more contemporary songs), and drinking coffee.
