Experience Summary
I have graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in human development from Brigham Young University. I am eager to put my education and experience to work and believe I could be a valuable tutor.
With my experience as a research assistant, I am accomplished in research methods as well as in retrieval and application of evidence based practice to provide others with the latest and best proven care. I have become familiar with methods of cognitive behavioral therapy as well as marriage and family therapy, allowing me to comfortably work in a variety of settings. As a teaching assistant, I became confident in my ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to others as I worked as an educational resource to over two hundred students. I have experience in teaching, reviewing, lesson planning, and exam preparation. As a founding member of BYU's Women's Studies Honors Society, I developed my leadership abilities while promoting awareness and advocacy of women's issues.
I believe I have the skills and experience necessary to sensitively communicate with individuals and families, as well as to work competently and professionally. As a compassionate person, I take strong initiative to advocate for both the people I work with as well as the workplace itself. I believe my experience working with past professors and educational leaders will add to my ability to cater to others' needs. My understanding and sympathetic personality, coupled with my ability to work well and efficiently with all types of people will allow me to be both a productive and valuable member of any team. I have greatly enjoyed working under the guidance of my education so far and hope to have the privilege of working in such an environment again in the future.
