Experience Summary
I have taught children for over 20 years, including my own two children and grandchildren. I love teaching and working with children and their parents. I have received a number of awards in my Professional life as well as my social activities in my community. I also founded and started a business (Rainbow Consulting Services) in 2005. I used this business to promote literacy to children grades Pre-K-5th grades. I have a number of other topic I promote including health literacy, money management, summer reading camps and other helpful referrals. I believe that we all can learn and are life time learners. I wrote my first book in 2010, the "The Enhanced Reading Resource Reference Book." It is a reference book highlighting all the reading workshops I have taught throughtout my teaching career. I dedicated my book to a down's syndrom young man I had the opportunity to take care of.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is using all our senses. If you can touch, taste, see, feel, and hear what you are engaged in, you will retain it for a long time.
My Hobbies
My hobbies are reading, sewing, traveling and watching movies.
