Experience Summary
I am a graduate effective 2013 of business administration which encompasses business subjects and accounting. I have been tutoring students in mostly business subjects privately as well as an employed tutor. In accounting most of my students have scored 'A' and 'B' grades for basic accounting and intermediate level. Other business subjects I have taught include business strategy, marketing among others. In my teaching career, I have taught for about 8years in tertiary colleges and I have received positive response from my learners. I have also taught both slow and fast learners and managed to transfer knowledge they require to them effectively.
I have travelled also distances to tutor but not away from my home country. My learners like most when I present to them present day applications of what they learn in my lessons. This helps them to gain more understating of the given concepts.
To engage my students for better understanding, I help them to develop problem-solving skills by challenging them to find best ways to solve any of their problems better in stead of copying directly from source materials. For assignments tutor student on the best way to write and present their work to earn them better grades. For exams, I guide the student on how to understand the questions and how to structure their answers to earn better grades.
I teach students to plan for their personal development by encouraging them to work in groups and share their experience of their learning in various subjects. In most cases, I teach interactively because I believe that is the best way that a student can learn. I use case studies, real life situation examples to increase the students understanding of the concepts of the subjects I teach as well as for clarification purposes.
Teaching as a learning experience because I meet students from different learning backgrounds and my work is purely better their learning. It is my role to offer the best service to my learners.
