Experience Summary
I worked as an ESL teacher in Japan for almost four years teaching people of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The opportunity to live in Japan, coupled with study in university has also given me an intermediate level of Japanese.
In high school I also had a position as an assistant teacher at a karate dojo, working with large groups of children of all ages.
Additionally, having studied and/or worked in Japan, the UK, New Zealand and most recently Australia, I have familiarity interacting with people from wide ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds and can alter my teaching style accordingly.
Teaching Style
I have a fairly relaxed style, though I am flexible and can adjust to whatever will make the student(s) most comfortable.
