Experience Summary
I have been working as a translator, teacher, proofreader and writer for the last three years. Back in Germany, I mainly taught ESL classes. Some of my students even wanted to continue our lessons via Skype when I moved to the U.S. in November 2012. Since April 2013 I am teaching German at the German Language School of the Sacramento Turn Verein.
Teaching Style
Learning should be fun. I integrate games and fun activities into my courses. Also, I like to use current topics and events as well as topics that the students are interested in. I develop a lot of the course material myself to make sure it fits the student's needs.
My Hobbies
- music (playing flute and horn)
