Experience Summary
I earned my Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Kansas. I have over 10 years of teaching experience at the University of Kansas and I am currently a visiting professor at DeVry University.
Recently I have authored several mathematics textbooks for iBooks. My interactive calculus book was featured in the Apple Keynote address for the iPad mini.
I was nominated GTA of the year in 2010 at the University of Kansas for my teaching performance. I also received the award of tutor of the year in 2006 for the Kansas Algebra Program at the University of Kansas.
For 3 semesters I was director of Mathematics Placement Exams at KU. Also for 4 years I was a supervisor at the Kansas Algebra Program at KU, which involved managing a math help room that served hundreds of students on a daily basis. In my experience I have helped students of all learning types and abilities. I pride myself in offering a very personalized tutoring experience. I will zero in on my students strengths and weaknesses to maximize the benefit of our session. I look forward to hearing from you.
